Acapela High Density Telecom is a TTS software component of outstanding quality for enterprise and telco applications which generates speech output for text input. It is a multilingual, multichannel, cross-operating TTS system of the latest generation. Multiple interfaces are supported as well as multiple voices and languages. Acapela High Density Telecom reads out loud any IT generated text with the flexibility and richness of natural sounding speech, supporting the telephony audio formats and a generally unlimited number of channels for simultaneous TTS output. It already speaks 19 languages with 29 voices and reads proper names, numbers and currencies for optimal restitution of information. Thanks to its highly sophisticated pre-processing module, Acapela High Density Telecom perfectly converts e-mails, HTML or RTF content.

Speech quality:

Due to finest concatenation techniques, Acapela High Density Telecom generates smooth and natural sounding voices, providing high intelligibility and comfort to the end-user. The automatic intonation reflects the meaning of the text, with respect to pauses, punctuation and context.

Currently 19 languages are supported: US English, UK English, French, German, Belgian Dutch, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Islandic, Italian, Spanish, South American Spanish, Portuguese, Brasilian Portuese, Czech, Turkish, Arabic.

Tailoring the technology to a specific field of application is easy with Acapela High Density Telecom. With an open lexicon mechanism, its TTS can be specialised to handle abbreviations, acronyms and exceptions used in specific sectors.

Text pre-processing

A highly sophisticated pre-processing module is provided with Acapela High Density Telecom to handle e-mails, HTML or RTF content. It can parse e-mails, extract sender, subject, date, attachment and message body. The pre-processor expands and adapts e-mail addresses, URLs, extracts audio attachments (.au), emoticons and filters bottom signatures. All parts are customisable.

Automatic language detection

For multi-lingual applications Acapela High Density Telecom includes an automatic language detection function, which can quickly identify the main language used in the text.
